Zoo 2014

Canada Day was super fun this year with the Maclean family! We decided to go up to the Calgary Zoo for the day and finish off the evening taking the girls to the fireworks in Lethbridge. I wanted to ditch out of the fireworks so bad because of the mosquitos but I thought Scarlette would enjoy them way more this year now that she is older. Turns out I was completely wrong, she was deathly afraid of them and we did end up getting eaten alive...ahh well..all part of the experience right haha? Anyways, here is all the photos I ended up taking of the day....I have a problem haha.

Scarlette and Grandpa Hendry looking at the Meek-rats (that's what I call them...even though I know they're Meerkats)
She thought they were monkeys haha...

She was pretty enthralled with the Hippo.

Scarlette, Auntie C.C. and the "Wion"

She absolutely loved the Lions....she talked about them the whole time we were there.

 Scarlette, Ciara and Brock

Looking at all the little Fish
 Daddy, Scarlette and Lex

Andrew and Lex just chilling out

Another one of Scarlette's favourites...the Alligator!
She did not want to leave.

Then came the Monkey's.....I'm pretty sure she said "monkey" about 1000 times...everyone kept saying how cute she was!

Got some nice shots of the lemurs. They weren't enclosed at all...just climbing above us...Scarlette LOVED it.

 Heading towards the Gorilla's

 Kisses.

 Heading into the Canadian Wildlife!

 Uncle Brock and Scarlette.

She loved the Bears! This one was super cute and went for a dip in the little pond while we were there.

Andrew showing Scarlette the Elk. One of his favourites.

Before we left we stopped in to see the penguins. Definitely the most interactive animal at the Zoo as far as getting up close.

 She loved seeing them eat!

 Grandpa Hendry and Scarlette!!

WE LOVED THE ZOO!
